Zina Adi, MS
Licensed professional counselor, EMDR Trained
Are you trying to handle anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, or simply feeling overwhelmed? Your lived experiences have a huge impact on your mental health. Therapy is a place to process and heal. It takes hard work, bravery, and patience to go through all the heavy "stuff" that you carry around daily. You do not have to be alone in the process of your healing. The most important thing to me is that my client feels no judgment, is heard, and can trust that I am going to work just as hard as they are to reach their goals.
I offer individual counseling for anyone ready to start talking. I have experience working with young adults and adults dealing with depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, and life transitions. I have worked with people from many different ethnic backgrounds and religions. I am also trained in EMDR therapy.
As a Muslim Arab-American, I understand how fear and stigma can play a large role in deciding whether to begin therapy or not. We can start small or big and at your pace. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Zina works out of ROCC’s Richardson office. To schedule an appointment with her, please call (817)-330-4060 or email at zina.adi@richlandoaks.org.
“We don’t hear much about how painful it is to go from being completely stuck to becoming unstuck. The process of becoming unstuck requires tremendous bravery, because basically we are completely changing our way of perceiving reality, like changing our DNA. We are undoing a pattern that is just not our pattern. It’s the human pattern.”
